Concealed Media made the short trip to the Queen City to catch up with comedian Jordan Jackson. During the interview we find out how he got started, his relationship with Country Wayne, advice he received from Kat Williams, navigating the new age of comedy and content creating, and much more.
A native of Los Angeles, CA, Jackson said that’s where he developed his work ethic. Growing up he said he would cut grass, sell candy, or whatever he had to do, to help his mother. In 1996 Jackson visited Atlanta for the Olympics and fell in love with the city and made it his home a few years later and never looked back.
“23 years I’ve been in Atlanta thriving I got the key to the city in Atlanta, I got locations. and I got people who rock with,” Jackson said.
Jackson said he was always naturally funny but he didn’t start doing comedy until 2000, when comedian Angelo Dundee invited him to perform at a club in Atlanta. Although he was naturally funny, Jackson said it took time for him to build his confidence on stage. “Confidence is key to everything,” Jackson said.
