A few weeks ago Concealed Media sat down with North Carolina recording artist LulZac to discuss his musical journey, what drives his artistry, his latest projects and much more.
Hailing from the 252, LulZac is one of the most well known rappers in the entire state. With hits like “GO”, “Real Gangsta”, and “Control”, which is featured on his latest project Gen V, LulZac has proven time and time again, that he has what it takes to make in the music industry.
Although he started rapping as a teenager, LulZac didn’t really see his potential for greatness until he was in college at St. Augustine University. After building a big following on campus LulZac was invited to perform at Homecoming, he said that’s when he knew music was something he could do full time.
“I wasn’t always lit in college, for like the first year I was just in my dorm…but my second year I was really outside. That’s when I dropped Real Gangsta,” he said.
Since his days at St. Augustine LulZac’s music has given him the opportunity to travel across the country. When asked about his creative process LulZac said every song he makes is based off the mood he was in at that time.
“If I’m not in that mood I can’t make that song. Even if I want to make a hype song if I’m not in that mood I can’t make it,” he said.
